And some Italian, French, German and American ones to Monterey Car Week next month from August 11-20th. This annual event for classic car enthusiasts taking place in Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach and renowned Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is not to be missed if you're a gear head.
The festivities kick-off in Old Monterey with the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca sponsored classic car show featuring over 30 classic race cars and their drivers. A couple of days later is the Carmel-By-The-Sea Concours On The Avenue showcasing 175 collector vehicles downtown.
There's also the Little Car Show, Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance, Exotics on Cannery Row, Concorso Italiano (800 Italian cars and more) and Black Horse Golf Course, and the always entertaining Concours d"Lemons – Pintos, and Pacers and Corvairs, oh my!
Perhaps try your luck and raise a paddle to bid on a classic car or two at one of the various auto auctions taking place during the week before attending the main event; the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where the most amazing cars in the world compete for best of show.
Look but don't touch the 200 best collector cars displayed lovingly on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links (named greatest public course in America by Golf Digest in 2011). These cars are truly stunning. The view of Monterey Bay isn't bad either.
We attended two years ago and had a blast. Leno, Rawlings and Carini were all there too.
